
“How often do you eat breakfast, lunch or dinner at places such as McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, Arby’s, Pizza Hut, or Kentucky Fried Chicken?” That was the question answered by The Lancet’s new 15-year prospective study
Over 3000 people who ate meals from fast-food restaurants more than twice a week gained 4·5 kg (11 pounds) more weight and had a 104% greater increase in insulin resistance than those who ate less than one meal at a fast-food restaurant each week.
