What are the key nutrients?
Selenium, 200mcg daily. (2 Brazil nuts worth) for prostate, lung and colorectal cancer.
Lycopene, 10 tablespoons of tomato sauce weekly. (a little bit of olive oil helps quadruple (4x) the absorption.
Soy, before puberty, for prevention of breast cancer.
Two are being tested by the National Cancer Institute in studies.
But there’s no real reason to wait for the studies–nuts and tomatoes are good food, and you should enjoy them now.
