Most of my patients are. Few get enough calcium, vitamin D, magnesium, potassium or fiber. And many take lots of votamin supplements! But not the right ones at the right times.
A study of 150 healthy Midwesterners (10 to 65 years old) with persistent, nonspecific musculoskeletal pain found that “93% had some deficiency and 28% had severe deficiency of vitamin D.” Fish is a great source of Vitamin D, much better than milk: it is variably added by the dairy (not by the cow!); free, tasty fish recipes here.
