Triple Berry Blender Blaster

This recipe for Triple Berry Blender Blasters are a refreshing and delicious way to enjoy a hot summer day. These smoothies are wholly packed with nutrients from the berries and take a second to make!

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 0
Servings: 4
Serving Size: 8 Ounces

Ingredients:

2 cups mixed frozen berries such as blueberries, raspberries and strawberries
2 cups unsweetened apple juice or apple cider
1 cup raspberry or strawberry sorbet, such as Trader Joe’s brand
¼ cup soy protein powder

Directions:

Combine berries and juice in blender jar. Cover and blend at high speed 30 seconds. Add sorbet; blend 30 seconds. Add soy powder; blend 30 seconds or until thick and smooth.

Tips:

Frozen berries are a blessing-they add thickness, coolness and sweetness all in one. They’re also less expensive than fresh ones, and for the blender, they’re perfect. The earthiness of whole grain, the crunchiness of toasted nuts, the smooth silky notes of vanilla soymilk all unite to create a hearty one-bowl breakfast.

Substitutions:

2 cups of one of the frozen berries may replace the mixed berries. Vanilla flavored soy protein powder may replace the regular soy powder.
