Mango Madness

Absolutely delicious summer drink, this Mango Madness recipe will keep you refreshed and cool during those blazing summer months.

Preparation Time:  10 minutes
Cooking Time:
Servings  4
Serving Size:  1 Cup

Ingredients:

1 can (11.5 ounces) mango nectar, such as Trader Joe’s Organic Mango Nectar
2 ripe mangos, peeled, seeded, cut into chunks (4 cups)
1 cup mango sorbet, such as Haagen Dazs brand
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

Directions:

Combine nectar and mangos in blender container. Cover and blend until fairly smooth. Add sorbet and lime juice; cover and blend until smooth and thick.

Tips:

If you like more liquidy shakes, add 2 cups crushed ice to the blender. Use a frosty beer mug to carry Mango Madness from blender to table to your mouth! See page 00 for mango peeling tips. So thick you’ll think it’s sorbet, and so delicious you’ll want it for breakfast and dessert. Soy protein powder gives this drink the goodness–and the protective ability–of a wonder food, in concentrated form.

Substitutions:

Papaya or guava nectar may replace the mango nectar and lemon or lime sorbet may replace the mango sorbet. You’ll have different flavors, but a delicious, easy balance of sweet and tart.
