Serving Size: 8 ounce servings
Ingredients:
2 cups 1% low fat chocolate soymilk, such as Silk brand
1 cup frozen chocolate non dairy soy dessert, such as Soy Delicious brand
24 frozen medium strawberries
1 medium banana, broken into chunks
1/4 cup chocolate syrup such as Hershey’s, (optional)
Multicolored sprinkles (optional)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except sprinkles in blender container. Cover and blend at high speed until thick and smooth. Pour into frosted mugs; garnish with sprinkles, if desired.
Tips:
Slice and freeze the banana the night before for a thicker, colder shake.
Substitutions:
Low fat tofutti (a nondairy soy-based ice cream substitute) may replace the chocolate non-dairy soy dessert. Fresh strawberries will work instead of the frozen ones, but the drink will not be as cold or thick.
