Chocolate Soy Sundae Smoothie

This Chocolate Soy Sundae Smoothie recipe is loaded with isoflavones from two soy foods, and with a surprisingly hefty fiber count, this quickie will make your RealAge 5.5 days younger.

Preparation Time:  5 minutes
Cooking Time:  0 minutes
Servings  4
Serving Size:  8 ounce servings

2 cups 1% low fat chocolate soymilk, such as Silk brand
1 cup frozen chocolate non dairy soy dessert, such as Soy Delicious brand
24 frozen medium strawberries
1 medium banana, broken into chunks
1/4 cup chocolate syrup such as Hershey’s, (optional)
Multicolored sprinkles (optional)

Combine all ingredients except sprinkles in blender container. Cover and blend at high speed until thick and smooth. Pour into frosted mugs; garnish with sprinkles, if desired.

Slice and freeze the banana the night before for a thicker, colder shake.

Low fat tofutti (a nondairy soy-based ice cream substitute) may replace the chocolate non-dairy soy dessert. Fresh strawberries will work instead of the frozen ones, but the drink will not be as cold or thick.
