Last month, in visiting New Orleans for Dads 2.0 Summit 2014...an awesome conference filled with bloggers who want to address men, at all levels (proud to be teaching such powerful men about health, and how their bodies see food and fitness), I had two conversations that made me think– men and their families need help in another way.
Not just in the lifestyle measures that important in preventing 70 percent of heart disease and at least 40 percent of all cancer. Not just in avoiding hot plastics and filtering water to get your sperm count up if you need to. And not just in buying high quality vitamin D3 to improve your vitamin D3 level to raise your testosterone (and protect bones) naturally.
But in accessing prescription medicines–inexpensively, even if you don’t have insurance.
Here are 3 legitimate groups that can help you get prescription meds, if you need them:
•NeedyMeds.org
• PParx.org
• RXAssist.org
While not everyone will qualify for free meds, if you’re single and make up to $45,000, or you’re a couple making between $35,000 and $60,000, or you’re a family of four making $55,000 to $90,000– you often can gets prescription meds much mor cheaply than thru your insurer, and certainly cheaper than OTC.
One big idea: don’t pay for access to these programs. It’s amazing how easily men and women are swindled.
If you need meds, you need them. Don’t pay more for them than you have to.
